Nepal, Bangladesh Friendlies to Crown Overall Winner with Trophy and Medals

Kathmandu — The upcoming two-match international friendly series between Nepal and Bangladesh, scheduled for September 6 and 9 at Dasharath Stadium, will not just be routine fixtures. The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) announced on Thursday that the series will determine an overall winner, who will be awarded a trophy and medals. According to ANFA, the aggregate result across both matches will decide the winner. In the event of a tie, the outcome will be settled via a penalty shootout. Preparations for the back-to-back friendlies at the Tripureshwar-based venue are complete, ANFA officials confirmed during a press briefing. The matches are being staged under FIFA's international window. Ticket prices have been set at Rs. 1,000 for the VIP parapet section and Rs. 500 for general parapet seating. Fans can purchase tickets exclusively through the Khalti digital wallet app. For crowd management, ANFA has arranged for all stadium gates to remain open on matchdays. Supporters will be required to enter through the gate indicated on their tickets and sit in their designated, colour-coded sections. The football governing body also revealed that the estimated budget for hosting the two fixtures is Rs. 12.75 million. Both matches are scheduled to kick off at 5:45 p.m.
