Kathmandu, October 10 — The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has officially bid farewell to the Nepal U-17 Women's National Team ahead of their departure to Thailand for the AFC U-17 Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers 2025. A special send-off ceremony was held on Friday at the ANFA headquarters in Satdobato, graced by ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang, General Secretary Kiran Rai, Vice President Dawa Lama, CEO Indraman Tuladhar, and executive committee members Manish Joshi, Sarila Shrestha, Purushottam Thapa, Bikas Narayan Shrestha, and Tikaram Lama. Nepal, placed in Group F, will play Turkmenistan on October 15 and host Thailand on October 17. The qualifiers will follow a single round-robin format, with only the group winners advancing to the main tournament — the 10th edition of the AFC U-17 Women's Asian Cup, scheduled to be held in China next year.
Speaking at the event, ANFA officials expressed confidence in the young squad, emphasising that the tournament will provide invaluable exposure and experience at the continental level.
