Pokhara Thunders squandered a second-half lead and were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against spirited Jhapa FC in Saturday's Nepal Super League clash at Dasharath Stadium.
Pokhara couldn't hold their advantage despite taking the lead in the 52nd minute through Stefan Sameer Binong's towering header off an Ayush Ghalan delivery. Jhapa's Arshik Lazar pulled his side level with a stunning free-kick in the 65th minute, denying Pokhara all three points.
The draw sees Pokhara climb to fourth in the table with five points from as many matches, while Jhapa sits just behind in sixth with four points from four outings.
It was a match of two halves. Pokhara showed more attacking intent early on, but Jhapa's resilience and Lazar's moment of brilliance ensured the spoils were shared.
