Birtamod—Bhadrapur Municipality secured a spot in the semi-finals of the first Inter-Municipal Women's Football Tournament with a narrow yet crucial 1-0 victory over Shivasatakshi Municipality in the final quarter-final clash on Thursday.
The match's decisive moment came in the 21st minute of the first half when Sujata Palungwa found the back of the net, sealing Bhadrapur's triumph at the Domalal Rajbanshi Stadium. Her standout performance earned her the Player of the Match award and a cash prize of Rs 5,000.
With this result, the semi-final lineup is now complete. Kankai Municipality will face Mechinagar Municipality in the first semi-final on Friday, setting the stage for an intense battle in the final.
The grand finale, scheduled for Falgun 5, will see the champion walk away with an attractive trophy and a cash prize of Rs 300,000, while the runner-up will receive Rs 150,000.
