Pokhara: Uzbekistan's Black Bulls FC continued their dream run in the Aaha Rara Pokhara Gold Cup, securing a commanding 4-0 victory over five-time champions Three Star Club in the semi-finals on Thursday.
Making their tournament debut, the Black Bulls showcased their firepower at Pokhara Stadium, with Kuvonchbek Olimov, Asilbek Orifjonov, Shavkatjon Satorov, and Saidjamol Davlatjonov all finding the net.
Olimov opened the scoring in the 24th minute, setting the tone for the Bulls' dominant display. Orifjonov doubled the advantage in the 58th minute before Satorov extended the lead four minutes later. Davlatjonov sealed the emphatic win with a late goal in the 87th minute.
The Black Bulls earned their place in the semis after knocking out India's Thunderbolt North United, while Three Star had edged past Machhindra FC.
With this resounding victory, the Black Bulls set up a high-stakes final clash against Nepal Police Club, the tournament's most successful team, on Saturday. Police advanced to the title match after a narrow 1-0 win over Church Boys United.
With the championship now within reach, the Black Bulls will look to cap off their debut campaign in Pokhara with silverware.
