Jhapa, Nepal – Pathari 11 FC of Morang has secured a spot in the final of the Limbuni Thuli Memorial Cup 2081 after edging past Rolling Club of Jhapa Dhulabari with a hard-fought 1-0 victory in the semi-final at Kaidaley Natural Stadium, Khudunabari, Arjundhara-3. Milan Chamling Rai delivered the decisive strike for Pathari 11, sealing their place in the championship clash. Meanwhile, their African import, Abayomi, delivered an impressive performance, earning the Player of the Match award and a cash prize of Rs 3,500. The accolade was presented by State MP Chintan Pathak, Arjundhara Mayor Baldev Singh Gomden, and tournament sponsor Babi Subba. With this victory, Pathari 11 sets up an exciting final showdown against Jhapa's Jalthal FC. Jalthal booked their place in the final after defeating Red Horse FC of Ilam in the first semi-final held a day earlier. The Limbuni Thuli Memorial Cup, organized by the Charity Youth Club, is held in honour of Aitmaya Subba, fondly remembered as Limbuni Thuli. A former resident of a Bhutanese refugee camp, Limbuni Thuli, passed away last year after moving to the United States for rehabilitation. Her son, Babi Subba, a football player and coach, has spearheaded the tournament's sponsorship in her memory, aiming to contribute to the growth of Nepali football. The much-anticipated final will take place on Falgun 4. The champions will receive Rs 155,555, while the runners-up will receive Rs 77,777. According to organizing committee coordinator Surya Imbung, the tournament's budget is estimated at Rs 1.4 million.
