PARIS: Nepal’s Horaa Esports secured a direct spot in the PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMWC) 2026 Grand Finals after a hard-fought fourth-place finish in Group B at the Esports World Cup in Paris.
After a tough 12-match run in Group B, the Nepalese team earned 98 points. Their aggressive play brought in 61 elimination points, 37 placement points, and one Winner Winner Chicken Dinner (WWCD). This score easily put Horaa in the automatic qualification zone, just behind Team Vitality (148 points), IDA Esports (108 points), and GodLike Esports (105 points), and just ahead of S2G Esports (97 points) by one point.
By finishing in the top five of their group, Horaa avoided the Survival Stage. Sixteen other teams, including big names like Alpha7, Nongshim RedForce, Tianba, and Wolves Esports, now have to fight for the last championship spots. Meanwhile, Horaa gets extra time to rest, regroup, and work on their strategies before the main event.
Horaa’s group run stood out for their firepower. More than 62% of their points came from eliminations, showing their aggressive style focused on fights rather than holding positions. Still, turning these battles into map wins is their next challenge. With only one WWCD in 12 games, they need to improve late-game rotations and circle control before facing the world’s top teams in the finals.
Horaa now joins a group of 10 auto-qualified teams, including Team Vitality, GodLike Esports, S2G Esports, IDA Esports, 4Thrives Esports, Orangutan, Aurora Gaming, Team Flash, and Nigma Galaxy. As they head straight into the Paris finals, Nepal’s top team moves from being underdogs to real global contenders.
