Nepal Police Club Marches into Final of Jhapa Women’s Gold Cup

Nepal Police Club booked their place in the final of the Jhapa Women’s Gold Cup after defeating Sankata Club 2–0 on Friday. The victory came in the first semifinal held at the Dudhe Rangashala in Shivasatakshi. After a goalless first half, Police’s attacking duo — Meena Deuba and Rekha Poudel — found the back of the net in the second period to secure the win. Poudel, who sealed the team’s victory with the second goal, was deservedly named Player of the Match for her standout performance.

With this win, Nepal Police Club advanced to the title clash scheduled for Monday, Kartik 24 (November 10), where they will face the winner between Nepal APF Club and Tribhuvan Army Club. The second semifinal — a departmental derby between APF and Army — will take place on Saturday at 3:15 PM. The champion of the tournament will receive a cash prize of NPR 1,010,000, while the runner-up will earn NPR 500,000. Additionally, the Best Player of the Tournament will be awarded NPR 150,000, and category-wise top performers will each receive NPR 25,000.
