Jalthal FC Advances to Semi-Finals in Late Limbuni Thuli Memorial Cup 2081

Jhapa, Khudunabari – Jalthal FC has secured a place in the semi-finals of the Late Limbuni Thuli Memorial Cup 2081, defeating Beldangi FC Damak 3-1 in a thrilling third quarter-final clash at the local stadium in Arjundhara-3. All goals were scored in the second half, with Jalthal taking the lead through Roshan Angdembe. The breakthrough came after Damak made a crucial substitution, bringing on Suraj BK to replace regular goalkeeper Parshuram Chauhan. Jalthal's goalkeeper, Roshan Dhimal, then stunned the crowd by scoring twice from free kicks, further solidifying his team's dominance. Manoj Sherpa managed a late consolation goal for Damak, but it wasn't enough to change the match's outcome. Roshan Dhimal was named Player of the Match for his outstanding performance, earning a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 3,500. The Charity Youth Club is organizing the tournament in memory of Aitmaya Subba, known as Limbuni Thuli, who lived in a Bhutanese refugee camp years ago. The competition continues on Wednesday, with Rolling Club of Dhulabari set to face the APF team from Pakali Sunsari in another high-stakes quarter-final. According to tournament coordinator Surya Imbung, the champions will receive Rs 155,555 in cash, while the runners-up will receive Rs 77,777. The total estimated budget for the tournament stands at Rs 1.4 million.
